METEORITES ARE ON THE GROUND IN WEST TEXAS!

In a small town North of Waco Texas, scientists from the University of North Texas and some lucky meteorite meteorite hunters have found meteorites from Feb 15ths Fireball in the sky.

There was a giant explosion that sent one local farmer scrambling for cover under his barn after he witnessed the explosion and the break up of the meteor. Seconds later it started raining stones down on his fields and he had to run to his barn to exscape the extraterrstrial bombardment. This exciting and historical event comes only days after The worlds largest gem and mineral show, “The Tucson Show” where hundreds of meteorite dealers and enthusiasts gather each year to buy sell and trade in meteorites and enjoy the unique and exciting atmosphere that the Tucson Show provides.

Meteorite hunters and scientists from all over are converging on the tiny town. More than 20 stones have been found thus far, most under 50 grams. Experts predict that there are more and larger stones. Estimates are in the hundreds… It’s unknown how large the meteorite strewnfield (distribution elipse) is at this time.
