Ok, this isn't the same meteor but I am wanting to know if anyone has seen 2 fireballs that came a crossed the sky in Winchester, VA on April 30, 2010 the first one around 8:59 pm and then the second one at around 9:12 pm. They came from the south west. They traveled at a slow rate of speed compared to some of the things I have seen like shooting stars. They looked like a big balls of fire. There was a lot of people that say them but I can’t find anything on the internet about this. These people like I was waiting for fireworks to start about around 9:30 pm and no these were not stray fireworks. People were pointing and saying … “look there is another one” It was a crowd of people but I can’t find anything about it on the net. Do you know anything about it or know where I can find inofirmation about it. I have pictures of them but it was taken with my cell phone and when you zoom in it just looks like a orange fire and bunch up pixels.

The marker is for Lorton the city not the actual fall location. I will update the map with proper fall coordinates as more information becomes available.

Thanks...

Hi Mike, Thanks! I'll be adding more as more data becomes available. I'm waiting on word back from someone about a possible second stone. It's unconfirmed as of yet.

Hi Bernd, Thanks! Hopefully with the Baltimore Sun mention and the detailed info here, people will report possible meteorites and widen the known strewnfield with confirmed finds.
