EXCERPT: “…Two asteroids, which are believed to be pieces of a bigger meteor, have been found at Karimpur village in the district here.The small asteroids were found in the compound of Shyambir, a villager, yesterday. “Two small asteroids which fell in the house compound were hot,” Shyambir said here today. The asteroids were about 250 and 100 grams of weight respectively, he added. Asteroids expert Prof Deepak Sharma said that the two pieces are believed to be parts of a bigger meteor which must have exploded. According to the villagers, these asteroids fell down after rainfall in the village.
