Date: February 15th, 2009 Fireball Sighting %cats=Fireball Reports
Time Of Sighting: time narrowed down to appx 8:45pm. Was on phone at time of sighting.
Report: DID NO ONE ELSE SEE THIS??? I was inside my daughter’s home (visiting from Seattle) and lying in big bay window, on phone, gazing at stars visible between light cloud scatter. Saw bright flash, and then immediate fireball materialized at zenith. Fireball was white at center, with orange flares to sides, and bright white tail. Tail had orange “sparkles” on outside of white area, which lingerd after white part of tail faded. At one point could still see the tail from zenith to horizon, and called daughter to come see, but all faded before she could get there. I don’t remember a flash on the horizon when the ball disappeared from view, but there WAS a flash a split second before the fireball emerged. I did see the entire event from zenith to horizon. REMARKABLE!
